I have been asked many time to share my recipes. These are recipes that I have found somewhere (and failed to note the original source) or have adapted to my taste. These are all recipes that I almost exclusively cook or can from my garden! I hope you enjoy them as I do.

Adria’s Pasta Sauce


16 oz tomato sauce (see Adria’s Easy Tomato Sauce)

1/2 lb ground beef (omit if only water bath)

1 tsp basil

1/2 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp marjoram

1/2 tsp thyme

Dash onion powder

Salt and sugar as needed to balance flavor. Combine all and simmer until tasty! This recipe can be multiplied or divided as desired then frozen or canned too! Water bath pints (unless adding meat) for 35 minutes.


Pizza Sauce

4 oz tomato paste

1 1/2 tbs olive oil

1/4 tsp each: Oregano, Marjoram, basil

Onion powder

1 clove garlic



Combine all and simmer til hot.  Can be multiplied for bigger batch. This recipe can be frozen or canned too!


Lasagna Sauce

2 jars (160z each) tomato sauce     1 tbs dried basil

4 cloves garlic

1 1/2 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp marjoram

1 lb ground beef (omit if only water bath)


Brown ground beef and drain, if using. Add beef (if using) to tomato sauce then seasonings. Simmer as desired.  If canning, prepare jars, water bath canner, lids and rings. Pour heated sauce into hot jars, seal and process pints 35 minutes, quarts 40 minutes.
