Following our Fruit Tree Maintenance blog post, it is time for the third dormant spray (around Valentine’s Day) for your stone fruit trees.
You can find the recipe for the Dormany Spray Cocktail here. It is essential that for the third spray to spray your fruit trees before they reach the popcorn stage, which is just before the buds break open to flower and you can see the petals. The last spraying needs to be done before the flowers open. The first picture is an example of when it is still safe to spray. In the second picture, it is only safe to spray copper, and the third is no longer safe to spray.
Don’t hesitate to drop by the nursery if you have further questions!
